Chuck > Plaque on the Perry Monument.  This is significant as the Battle of Lake Erie took place on September 10, 1813; this picture was taken on the 192nd anniversary of the battle.

Chuck > The earthworks at this site are a rare example of double-walled construction, consisting of two concentric ridges.

Chuck > Stretching around the shore at Sheldon Marsh State Nature Preserve was a breakwall, with a broad, flat top, very inviting to walk on, and with one end accessible from a beach at the park.  About 3/4 of the way out along the fairly long breakwall was this sign.  Of course, the only way to see this sign would be to walk along most of the breakwall to get to it!
Chuck > Beginning of the first road to Cedar Point, located at the Sheldon Marsh State Nature Preserve.  The original road was built too close to the shore and was destroyed by storms, so the current road was built further inland.
Chuck > The only remaining population of the Lakeside daisy is here in northeast Ohio.
