Chuck > Closer view of the heron. The poor image quality is due to using digital zoom on my camera. You might have thought, given the sign at the entrance of the refuge explaining that much of Northwest Ohio was originally swampland, preserved in the refuge in its natural state, that I would have had the good sense to use insect repellent before walking in the area. I didn't, with predictable results.
