The Bruce Peninsula jutting into Lake Huron, seen from the airplane on my flight back. This was particularly interesting to me; the red circle in the lower left which I added is centered on the location of a hotel I stayed at during my trip around Lake Huron in 2007.
Getting very close to the end of the walk now, Fort Michilimackinac, now a historical park, can be seen on the shore.
...on my left, Lake Huron. Hydrologically, Lakes Michigan and Huron should be considered a single lake.
Getting closer to the first tower. The Mackinac Bridge is the longest suspension bridge in the Western Hemisphere and third-longest in the world.

(Measuring the distance between the endpoints where the bridge meets land, that is. It's the sixth-longest in the world if you measure only the suspended part, and the tenth-longest in the world if you measure the main span only.)
On the bridge, looking back towards the Upper Peninsula.
This picture doesn't belong here! This is sunrise above Lake Huron, as seen from the balcony of my hotel room in St. Ignace.
